The United States is heading into a closely watched midterm election on 3 November 2026. Republicans currently hold narrow majorities in both chambers of Congress, but the election could well shift the balance of power.

We will therefore begin our trip in Washington, D.C., with an engaging programme focused on the U.S. midterm elections.

The programme combines high-level meetings with politicians, business leaders, diplomats, analysts and commentators with first-hand experiences of events as they unfold. Drawing on former Danish Foreign Minister Jeppe Kofod’s extensive experience of American politics and international relations, we aim to offer an exceptionally nuanced and direct insight into the country’s political and social landscape.

We admit attendees to the programs on a rolling, space available basis, and encourage you to apply as early as possible as the number of available seats is very limited

THE GEOPOLITICAL BUSINESS PROGRAM

Board Network – The Danish Professional Directors Association – was founded in Copenhagen in 2012 with the aim of professionalizing the Danish board agenda by focusing on the value-adding parts of corporate governance and board leadership.

Ever since, Board Network has been the leading forum for mutual inspiration between experienced board members. We take advantage of our vast international network of leading Chairs, professors and other experts on a global scale bringing them to Denmark to address the most pressing issues and surging trends among boards.

In 2024 we launched The Geopolitical Business Program which through conferences on The Global South and Ukraine and study trips to Beijing & Shanghai, Kyiv, Brussels, and Greenland so far has provided more than 85 Chairs, Non-Executive Directors, CxOs, and senior advisors with state of the art insight and inspiration fro the world’s geopolitical hot-spots.

All delegation trips are co-developed by Scandinavia Executive Institute, and are led by former Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeppe Kofod.
