THE CHAMBERS

The idea behind

We founded The Chambers in the middle of the Corona epidemic in July 2020. The idea behind it was to create a network as strong as The Community, just in a smaller setting with more focus on closeness and confidentiality, and not least on creating the opportunity for the members to get input on their own situation.

Board Network The Chambers

The format of The Chambers

Each of our Chambers is max. 20 members, and the meetings are conducted in an interactive roundtable format. All the meetings are held with a focus on a topical theme, and each time are facilitated by some of Denmark’s sharpest experts in the field in question.

The Chambers is for you who are looking for a small and confidential board forum at a high level, where the focus is on forming close relationships and where all topics are discussed at eye level among the group members.

Participant profiles

Regardless of whether your background is from startups and scaleups, from SMEs or from some of the country’s largest companies, we have relevant Chambers groups for you. All Chambers are composed with a focus on diversity in both age, gender, industry, and functional background, but the general characteristic of the members is a high degree of interest in the board agenda and concrete experience from the board rooms.

Season progress

Each season offers 5 meetings. All meetings are themed and over time we have, among other things, discussed topics as diverse as purpose, profit & sustainability, the board in crisis, strategy excellence, matchmaking between the board and management, HR & talent management, the chairman’s role, etc.

The framework for the meetings

The meetings are held on alternate days of the week between 15-19 in our beautiful premises on Hellerup Strandvej with a view of Øresund. All meetings end with a good glass of wine or soft drink and a bite of bread in the form of delicious sushi, tapas, or a selection of charcuterie.

MEMBERHSIP – BOARD NETWORK

Board Network is Denmark’s strongest and most influential board network.

Thus, The Board Network is a unique network which, in addition to focusing on best practice in board work, also gives members access to inspiration from a large number of both Denmark’s and the world’s most experienced and leading/revolutionary board chairmen, professors and advisors within corporate governance. The emphasis at the members’ meetings is primarily on value proposition through the forward-looking strategic and management task, and to a lesser extent on the backward-looking control task of the board’s work.

To ensure the best possible interaction and sparring between the members, Board Network, as the country’s most exclusive board network, is reserved for members with relevant experience in relation to board work. Admission to the network takes place via invitation or application for admission. All applications for membership are assessed individually. We are continuously accepting new members within all three of our membership categories.
